Chairman of Rajdhani News Publication Sherchan passed away

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 19 – Chairman of Rajdhani News Publication and Constituent Assembly member Mahendra Sherchan has passed away due to coronavirus at the age of 67 on Wednesday evening. According to family sources, Sherchan passed away at the Armed Police Hospital, Halchowk on Wednesday evening.

Sherchan, the founding president of Rajdhani News Publications, was the president of the Media Society, an umbrella organization of Nepali media operators. Sherchan was also the Vice President of Media Alliance, a media operator, and a member of the Advertising Board. He was also the Founder President of the Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association.

Sherchan is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter. Editor of RajdhaniDaily.com Dhurva Lamsal informed that the last rites will be performed at the electronic crematorium at Pashupati Aryaghat at 11 am.
