Gurung, who has been on a hunger strike has hospitalized

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 19 – Entrepreneur Dhan Gurung, who has been on a hunger strike in front of the British Prime Minister’s Office, has been admitted to hospital. Gurung was rushed to a hospital on Tuesday evening due to health problems.
He has been on a hunger strike since August 7 and was admitted to the hospital on the 11th day of the strike. Gurung, who is suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure, had been unwell for two days.
Along with Gurung, Gyan Raj Rai, campaign director of the Gurkha Satyagraha Joint Struggle Committee, and Pushpa Rana Ghale, a woman activist, are also on hunger strike. They had completed a 17-day, 24-hour relay fast from July 21.
On Sunday, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace offered to negotiate over the demands of veteran Gurkha, who is on a hunger strike. However, they have rejected the offer made by the British Defense Secretary to meet with the Gurkhas via email.
Chief Coordinator of the Satyagraha Committee Krishna Bahadur Rai said that the proposal of Minister Wallace to meet the two of them was rejected.
