Nepal Reports 3,403 fresh COVID-19 cases, 42 death in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 18 – Another 3,403 people in Nepal have been confirmed to have coronavirus on Wednesday.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Krishna Poudel, said that out of 16,838 people tested, 3,403 were confirmed infected.
Of the added infected, 993 people in Kathmandu Valley have tested positive. 711 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 122 in Bhaktapur and 160 in Lalitpur.
Another 42 people have died due to coronavirus. So far, 10 thousand 396 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus in Nepal.
Similarly, 2 thousand 104 people have been recovered from coronavirus in Nepal so far 6 lakh 89 thousand 173 people have been recovered from the coronavirus.
Currently, there are 40,338 active infected isolation and 457 quarantined people in Nepal.
So far, 37.91 million 69 PCRs and 4,12,494 antigens have been tested in Nepal, according to the ministry.
