SAFF Championship Draw: First game against Maldives
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 18 – The Nepali national football team will play against the Maldives in the inaugural match of the 13th edition of the SAFF Championship Football to be held in the Maldives.
On Wednesday, the South Asian Football Confederation (SAFF) announced the game schedule for October. The five-nation SAFF Championship is being held in the Maldives from October 1 to 13.
Nepal will compete with the Maldives on October 1 at the National Football Stadium in Malé. Similarly, Nepal will face Sri Lanka on October 3 in the second match and India on October 8 in the third match. The last match of the league stage will be played against Bangladesh on October 11.
The top two teams are scheduled to compete for the title on October 13 after the league stage of the competition.
