KATHMANDU: AUGUST 18 – Fourteen lawmakers, including senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, have submitted a letter to the Parliament Secretariat asking them not to implement the action taken by the CPN-UML.

Fourteen lawmakers, including Nepal, have signed a letter to the Parliament Secretariat demanding that the action taken against them be declared illegal.

They have submitted a letter signed by 14 parliamentarians to the Parliament Secretariat asking them not to implement the action taken against them illegally on the basis of revenge.

Among the UML lawmakers who have taken action are Madhav Kumar Nepal, Mukunda Neupane, Jivan Ram Shrestha, Ram Kumari Jhankri, Kalyani Khadka, Laxmi Kumari Chaudhary, Niradevi Jairu, Pushpa Kumari Karna, Sarala Yadav, Kalila Khatun, Birodh Khatiwada, Krishna Lal Maharjan, Bhawani Khapung and Metmani Chaudhary.

UML had decided to expel 14 lawmakers from the party and dismiss them saying that they had violated the party’s whip and acted against discipline.
