UML claims to have taken action for violating the party’s whip

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 17 – It has been claimed that 14 lawmakers, including senior CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, violated the party’s whip.

A letter registered with the Secretary-General of the Parliament Secretariat states that action has been taken against him for violating the whip of the party without acting in accordance with Article 28 (1) of the Political Parties Act 73, a source said. In the letter, it is mentioned that the standing committee meeting on August 9 decided to take action against 14 parliamentarians.
