Died on the spot while begging to be taken to the hospital

DHANGADHI: AUGUST 17 – A Nepali died at the Gauriphanta Checkpoint connected to Kanchanpur on Tuesday. Khadak Bahadur Shah, 52, of Domilla in Krishnapur Municipality-1 of Kanchanpur has died at Pipal Chautari in Gauriphanta Checkpoint, according to Doke Bazar Police.
He said that he had gone to Khatiya, India for treatment through Gaddachauki and returned through Gauriphanta on Tuesday. However, the police did not say when he went to Khatiya.
He was found sleeping in Chautari (a rest stop) and was questioned by the police. During the interrogation, he had requested the police to take him to the hospital. He succumbed to his injuries at the Seti State Hospital in Dhangadhi while calling for an ambulance. Police have also informed his family about his death.
