The government removed Ahiraj, the head of State 2

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 16 – The government has appointed Dr Rajesh Ahiraj has been removed. A cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to remove Ahiraj. A similar meeting has appointed Harishankar Mishra to replace Ahiraj.

Earlier, Ahiraj was appointed as the chief of Province No. 2 by the KP Sharma Oli-led government on February 19, 2021. Before making him the chief of State No. 2, the Oli government had removed Tilak Pariyar from the Maoist quota.

Mishra is the son of Industry Minister Ram Narayan Mishra of the BP Koirala-led government. Mishra has even been an MP once.
