Chances of heavy rains in these states

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 16 – Currently, light to moderate rain is falling in State 2, Gandaki and Lumbini. According to the Weather Forecast Division, the current monsoon low-pressure line is changing as it is close to the Terai region of Nepal.

There is a possibility of light rain in some places with normal cloud cover in the afternoon. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder/lightning in a few places in State 1, Bagmati and Gandaki.

There is a possibility of light rain at night in most parts of State 1, 2, Bagmati and Gandaki States and in a few places in Lumbini, Karnali and Far Western States. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder/lightning in a few places in State 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini States.

The Division has requested to be vigilant around the rivers and streams saying that there is a risk of soil erosion, landslides and drifts in the hilly areas as there is a possibility of heavy rains in a few places in State 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Far Western States.
