KATHMANDU: AUGUST 15 – Former German national team and Bayern Munich striker Gerd Muller has died. He died on Sunday at the age of 75, according to Bayern Munich.
Muller scored the decisive goal as West Germany won the 1974 World Cup. He scored 68 goals in 62 games for West Germany and a record 365 goals in 427 Bundesliga games for Bayern.
He was also a key member of the team that won the Euro Cup in 1972. Muller is also the winner of the Ballon d’Or.
