Seven arrested for robbing Yarsagumba
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 15 – Police have arrested seven people on charges of robbing Yarsagumba. Among the arrested are Dharma Okheda of Masta Rural Municipality-5 of Bajhang, Manoj Kumar Shrestha of Dolakha Baiteshwar-2, Deepak Thapa Magar of Ramechhap Doramba-4, Bishal Lama of Kavre Panchkhal-12, Yongden Lama of Timal-4 of Kavre and Roshan Shrestha of Ramechhap Doramba-2 and Mohammad Isaac of Abupakar, Kashmir, India, according to the Metropolitan Crime Branch.
Chief of the Division, SSP Chandra Kuber Khapung said that 7 kg 440 grams of Yarsagumba, 153,000 rupees in cash and eight mobile phones were recovered from them.
On August 8, Deepak Lama of Barhabise-3, Sindhupalchowk and Suresh Sapkota of Balephi Rural Municipality-6 of Sindhupalchowk said that he would buy 1 kg of Yarsagumba for Rs 2.8 million. SSP Khapung said that they were arrested during the investigation into the incident of robbery by a group of seven unidentified persons.
He said further investigation into the incident was underway.
