Easy wins for Liverpool and Chelsea
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 15 – Liverpool and Chelsea have won easily in the English Premier League. Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 3-0 on Saturday night, while Liverpool beat newcomers Norwich 3-0.
Mohamed Salah scored a goal in Liverpool’s victory, created an opportunity for two goals. Diogo Jota scored the first goal in the 26th minute of Liverpool’s victory. Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah scored in the second half to give Liverpool a 3-0 victory. Mohamed Salah also became the first player to score in five consecutive Premier League games.
Another contender, Chelsea, beat Crystal Palace 3-0 last night. Marcos Alonso, Christian Pulisic and Trevoh Chalobah all scored to give Chelsea the win at home. Alonso’s goal in the 27th minute gave Chelsea the lead at Stamford Bridge. Pulisic doubled Chelsea’s lead in the 40th minute. Then in the 58th minute of the game, Chalobah scored a goal to give Chelsea a comfortable 3-0 victory.
In the other game on Saturday, Leicester City beat the Wolves 1-0 with a lone goal from Jamie Verdi. In other games, Brighton beat Burnley 2-1, Everton beat Southampton 3-1 and Watford beat Aston Villa 3-2.
