Possibility of heavy rains in these areas

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 15 – At present, there is normal to full cloud cover in State 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini States and partial to normal cloud cover in Karnali and Far Western States. According to the Meteorological Department of the Department of Water and Meteorology, the monsoon low-pressure line has changed due to its proximity to the Terai region of Nepal.

There is light to moderate rain in some places in State 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Lumbini. Light to moderate rain is expected in most parts of the country in the afternoon. There is a possibility of heavy rain in some places of State 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini States.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in most parts of the country tonight. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in some places of State 1, Bagmati and Gandaki States, according to the Weather Forecast Division.

Due to the possibility of heavy rains in a few places in State 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini State, there is a risk of soil erosion, landslides and drift in the hilly areas.
