Maoist Central Committee Meeting, What Issues Are Discussed?

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 14 – Central Committee meeting of Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) has started. The meeting started at Anupam Cafe in Battisputali. Central member Lilamani Pokharel informed that the meeting to be held till tomorrow will discuss the legislative amendment proposal and other issues. “Legislative amendment proposals are discussed,” Pokhrel said. “The chairman has an agenda to present a political and organizational report.”

In a similar meeting, party president Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will give a briefing on the latest national politics. Earlier, a meeting of the standing committee held at the party’s Paris Danda office on Friday had decided to submit the political and organizational report prepared by Chairman Prachanda to the central committee meeting. According to him, the proposal is about to be presented in the meeting.

According to a central member, the meeting will be able to take important decisions about the organizational structure of the party. “Issues already raised in the party can create new rules or formats about the party’s organizational structure.”
