UML MP resigns, appointed chief adviser to chief minister

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 13 – Newly appointed Lumbini Chief Minister Kul Prasad KC has appointed Amar Bahadur Dangi as his chief political advisor. The cabinet meeting has appointed Dangi as the chief political advisor to the chief minister. According to government spokesperson Krishna Dhwaj Khadka, Dangi has been appointed as the chief advisor to the chief minister to provide services at the level of assistant minister of state.
The then CPN-UML MP Dangi had resigned from the post on May 5. After Dangi’s resignation, then Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel was in the minority. Dangi, who was elected as a member of the state assembly from Dang Constituency No. 2 (b), is also the former mayor of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City.
