Training of Nepali football team in Pokhara from today
POKHARA: AUGUST 12 – The closed training of Nepali football team is starting in Pokhara from today. The training is going to start at 3 o’clock. For this, 38 players have already come to Pokhara.
The training of the Nepali team has started to prepare for the South Asian Games (SAG) to be held in the Maldives next month.
According to ANFA Kaski, the training will be held at Pokhara Stadium for a few weeks. Along with the players, coach Al Mutairi and managers and ANFA representatives have also come to Pokhara. After the construction of the parapet and ground reached the final stage, Pokhara was chosen by the Nepali team.
The closed training was held in Pokhara last year as well. ANFA Kaski president Milan Gurung informed that the ground was being prepared for the training. Amid a dispute with the ANFA vice-president, head coach Al Mutairi came to Pokhara with the Nepali football team. He will provide the training.
If the ground is constructed on time, a friendly football match between Nepal and Bangladesh women’s teams will be held in Pokhara at the end of this month. Earlier SAG was said to be held in Nepal but now it has been shifted to the Maldives. Before that, Nepal will play a friendly match with India in Kathmandu. The women’s football tournament was also held in Pokhara on the 13th.
