The Minister of State for Health says that 1.5 to 200,000 people are vaccinated every day
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 12 – Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha has informed the House of Representatives that 9.7 million vaccines were received during the previous government. Addressing a meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Minister of State for Health Shrestha said that 9.7 million vaccines had been received by mid-Ashad (July) and only 4.2 million had been vaccinated.
Shrestha informed that the number of vaccinators has increased to 7.5 million after the new government came to power. Similarly, Minister Shrestha has claimed that 1.5 million to 200,000 people are vaccinated every day. “It has been ensured that 18 million vaccines will be received by mid-Ashoj (October),” said Minister Shrestha. “Up to 200,000 people are being vaccinated every day.”
Similarly, Minister Shrestha said that the vaccination campaign will be launched by giving priority to the areas where economic activities are taking place along with the age group and 15/16 districts where there is a lot of infection.
