Vehicles will not be allowed to drive after 8 pm tonight
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 12 – Stating that the risk of infection of COVID-19 has increased, a ban has been imposed on the operation of public and private vehicles in the Kathmandu Valley from 8 pm on Thursday (tonight).
The order, which has been implemented till August 24, has been implemented from 1 am today. Other means of transportation can be operated within the stipulated time, according to the order issued by the meeting with the Chief District Officers of the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur). It is said that the vehicles used for urgent work will be operated 24 hours.
For the last two weeks, the ban has been tightened in the Kathmandu Valley. Last week, it was decided to hold seminars, conferences and meetings only on a virtual basis.
Regarding other activities, Lalitpur Chief District Officer Dhundi Prasad Niraula said that the order imposed in the past has been upheld.
The order has also been tightened in various other districts. Earlier, the Ministry of Health and Population had warned that the third wave of COVID-19 could come.
