Bhattarai, general manager of the railway company, resigned from the post
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 11 – General Manager of Nepal Railway Company Guruprasad Bhattarai has resigned from the post. He has submitted his resignation to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport saying that the government has asked him for clarification on issues beyond his official responsibilities.
Under various pretexts, irrelevant issues outside my official responsibilities, I have received a letter of apology from the leaders of the political parties and factions in the coalition government in a manner that stifles the freedom of speech under the constitutional right of the couple. It is written in the resignation letter
It is mentioned in the letter that he has decided to resign from his post saying that the drama of explanation has been staged alleging that there is no provision in the constitution even though he has been working honestly.
Describing the current government as a gangster government formed by unwanted interests, Bhattarai said that such a government cannot be a beacon of anti-people activities.
