There will be heavy rain in some places due to monsoon winds

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 11 – Heavy rains are expected in some parts of the country on Wednesday due to monsoon winds.
Sabina Shakya, a meteorologist at the Department of Water and Meteorology, said that heavy rains are likely in some places in State 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini.
She said that as the monsoon will be active in the country for the next two to three days, light to moderate rain is likely in many places and heavy rain with thunder and lightning is likely in one or two places. Due to the risk of landslides and erosion in the hilly areas due to the rains, the water level in the rivers and streams may rise and the transport sector may also be affected.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in many places this afternoon and heavy rain with thunderstorms in one or two places of State 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini. According to the latest details, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley today is 19.8 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 29.6 degrees Celsius.
Similarly, the minimum temperature of Jumla is 15.2 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature of Dipayal is 34.5 degrees Celsius.
