Poudel’s demand that a special general convention should be held if a regular general convention cannot be held

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 10 – The meeting of the district presidents of the Nepali Congress in Thamel, Kathmandu has ended. Nepali Congress Nuwakot president Jagadishwar Narasingha K.C.informed that the meeting of the presidents of senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel’s party reached four conclusions.

The meeting has concluded that the active membership should be finalized soon, a regular general convention should be held with a new schedule and a special general convention should be held based on the precedent of 2014 BS and the party’s constitution.

The gathering has demanded the government to form an independent commission of inquiry under the chairmanship of the former chief justice to immediately investigate the cases of students and teachers and to investigate all kinds of corruption cases.
