Let’s not question KP Oli’s loyalty to the republic
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 10 – National Assembly member Khimlal Bhattarai has claimed that it was wrong to question KP Sharma Oli’s loyalty and faith in the republic. In a meeting of the National Assembly, Bhattarai claimed that Oli had always been in favour of the republic, had made invaluable contributions to the establishment of the republic and had spent 14 years in jail for bringing change in the country.
“KP Oli has spent 14 years in jail for bringing change in the country. The present generation cannot even think about it. No other leader has been imprisoned for so long now but how can it be justified to question his integrity?”
He also accused Congress of being disbanded on the basis of ideas and principles. “It’s not that the Congress is tall, it’s because the other party is a little smaller now. It’s just that the Congress looks taller,” he said.
