Meeting of Poudel’s district president continues
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 10 – The meeting of the district presidents of the Nepali Congress is continuing even today. District leaders of senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel’s group have gathered at Hotel Yatri in Thamel, Kathmandu. Discussions that started on Monday will end today with a common view.
Senior leader Poudel and other central members are scheduled to address the rally at 1 pm. At the meeting, 24 district chairpersons had expressed their views on Monday. The meeting was attended by the chairpersons of 35 districts while the chairpersons of the other 12 districts were in touch through virtual channels, said Jagadishwar Narasingha K.C., district chairperson of Nuwakot.
According to him, the rest of the district chairpersons will convene on Tuesday. “Friends are putting forward their views on ensuring the 14th General Convention, resolving disputes over active membership, the government’s priorities and preparations for the upcoming elections, and selecting future leaders. These are the things we draw conclusions from,” KC said.
