Illegal food items recovered

SURKHET: AUGUST 7 – The temporary police post-Babai under the District Police Office Surkhet has seized illegal food items worth Rs 1.47 million.

Police have seized illegal food and tobacco products in a truck (Ra 1 Ka 1156) heading to Surkhet from Nepalgunj.

Information Officer at the District Police Office, Surkhet and Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Prasad Gharti said that illegal food items are worth Rs. 14 lakh 75 thousand 966 rupees.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Gharti said that Khum Bahadur Punmagar, 24, of Rolpa in Triveni Rural Municipality-3 was arrested along with a truck carrying illegal food and tobacco in Babai of Bheriganga Municipality-5, Surkhet Babai.
