KATHMANDU: AUGUST 6 – The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Nepal has exceeded 10,000. According to the website Worldometer, which is updating the statistics of COVID-19, it has been confirmed that 10,019 people have died from COVID-19 in Nepal so far.
Of the 36,65,835 people tested in Nepal so far, 710,509 have been tested positive with COVID-19 and 6,65,548 have been cured.
Nepal’s testing rate is 123,394 people per million. According to the Worldometer, Nepal is ranked 40th out of 222 countries in the world where COVID-19 is seen.
COVID-19 has so far killed 631,879 people in the United States and 426,785 in India, the second most affected country. The number of newly infected people in the United States has stopped.
