36 traffic policemen honored for not taking bribe

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 6 – The Traffic Division has rewarded and honored 36 traffic policemen, including a police inspector, who did not succumb to financial temptation while conducting traffic operations.

Nine of the honorees were given cash prizes for their contribution to growth and development, while others were honored with food and certificates.

As a result, 49 drivers who tried to give bribes were arrested and the policemen who arrested the drivers and bring them under the ambit of action were rewarded and honoured said SSP Janak Bhattarai.

SSP Bhattarai clarified that the traffic police has been arresting the driver who was trying to seduce him and bringing him under the ambit of action.
