Mask campaign conducted by the Ministry of Health

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 6 – The Ministry of Health and Population is going to launch a nationwide Nepal Mask Campaign.
At a press conference on Friday, the ministry informed that it is going to conduct a week-long campaign from Saturday (tomorrow).
The ministry has started the campaign with the slogan ‘My Commitment in Epidemic Control and Prevention Wearing a Mask is the Need of the Day’.
The ministry said the campaign was launched to promote the proper wearing of masks as people do not wear masks properly when they go out at a time when coronavirus infection is on the rise.
It is said that a campaign has been launched to prevent and control COVID-19 with the message ‘I also wear a mask and inspire others to wear a mask’.
The week-long campaign is aimed at explaining the importance of masks in the current situation, the ministry said.
The ministry said that despite wearing masks, some people seem to take off their masks when they speak, put on masks, do not wear masks properly and there is a lack of public awareness about masks.
It is said during the press conference that the infection rate of the coronavirus is increasing as the lockdown is easing and people do not maintain physical distance and do not wash their hands with soap and water.
National and local leaders, women volunteers of the society, celebrities and media personalities will be involved in the campaign.
