Schools resume in southern belt of Humla
SIMIKOT: AUGUST 6 – Schools in the southern belt of Humla district have resumed physical classes after no cases of coronavirus were reported of late.
The schools at Tanjakot, Adanchuli and Chankheli Rural Municipalities resumed teaching-learning activities, according to the chief administrative officer at Adanchuli Rural Municipality, Tanka Datta Pyakurel. “All schools in Adanchuli are reopened after there were no active cases of coronavirus,” he added.
The schools, as he argued, have adopted adequate health and safety measures.
Chairman of Adanchuli Rural Municipality, Dal Phadera, informed that schools were closed for a long which badly impacted children’s education. So, the rural municipality decided to reopen the schools. There are 18 community schools in Adanchuli.
Similarly, Tanjakot Rural Municipality had already resumed the schools. As the federal government had given authority to the local governments to decide on schools in view of the threat of coronavirus, it began teaching-learning activities.
However, an upper belt of the district- Simkot, Kharpunath and Sarkegad- are uncertain when to resume the schools.
