When will the new schedule of the NC local level convention come?

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 5 – The Nepali Congress has stated that it will soon make public the new schedule of the affected local level conventions under the upcoming 14th general convention of the party.
A meeting of top leaders including Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and former general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula on Wednesday agreed to resolve the dispute over active membership in a day or two.
Ramesh Lekhak, a member of the Active Membership Investigation Committee, said that the meeting of the top leaders has moved forward positively to resolve the problems seen in the active membership and the dispute would be resolved soon. He informed that the new schedule of the affected local level will be made public after resolving the problems seen in the active membership.
The meeting focused on the membership of those who joined the Congress from other parties. A meeting of the party’s office-bearers and former office bearers on July 29 had handed over the responsibility of resolving the remaining disputes in the party’s active membership to the leadership. Due to the late receipt of active membership details and adjustment of the party, the active membership disputes of some areas and wards of districts including Bara, Saptari, Sindhupalchowk, Rasuwa, Kavrepalanchok, Dhanusha and Sarlahi are yet to be resolved.
The Congress has set a schedule to hold the 14th General Convention in Kathmandu from September 1 to 4. Similarly, according to the previous schedule, the village-municipal ward convention was scheduled on July 27, the village-municipality convention on July 31, and the provincial assembly regional convention on August 4.
Similarly, the regional convention of the House of Representatives is scheduled to be held on August 7, the district convention with more than one constituency is scheduled to be held on August 10, and the state convention is scheduled to be held on August 17 and 18.
