Chandragiri Hills and Gokarna became luxury resorts, reached 143 star hotels
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 4 – Chandragiri Hills on Chandragiri Hill in Thankot and Gokarna Forest Resort in Gokarna have been recognized as luxury resorts. This information has been given by making public the details of the rating of resorts and star hotels registered with the Department of Tourism. According to the department, the visitor resort in Banepa has been recognized as a deluxe resort.
Apart from these three resorts, all other resorts across the country are recognized as ordinary level resorts. There are 99 such ordinary resorts in the country.
Similarly, the number of five-star hotels has reached 16. Of them, 10 are five-star hotels in Kathmandu Valley. The last five-star hotel to be recognized is the Mechi Crown Hotel in Dhulabari, Jhapa, promoted by Vegas City International.
Similarly, the number of four-star hotels has reached 19. In one year, 6 more hotels have been recognized as 4 stars. Similarly, there are 33 three-star hotels and three Heritage boutique hotels. Similarly, the number of two-star hotels has reached 41. There are 34 one-star hotels.
