Demolition of residence of Devkota, Museum to be built [Photos]

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 4 – The private residence of the great poet Laxmi Prasad Devkota at Maitdevi Shastri Marg in Kathmandu has been demolished. The private residence of the great poet Devkota is being demolished for the construction of ‘Devkota Museum’.

Laxmi Prasad’s son Padma Prasad informed Makalu Khabar that the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had announced on the occasion of Devkota Jayanti 2075 BS that the construction work of the museum would start soon.

Although it is a matter of happiness to have a museum in honor of the great poet, he said that he was saddened when the house of the great poet and himself was demolished.
