KATHMANDU: AUGUST 4 – The National Assembly passed two bills on Wednesday.

A meeting of the National Assembly on Wednesday passed the Statistics Bill unanimously and the Yogamaya Ayurveda University Bill by a majority.

Independent MP Khimlal Devkota has said that the Yogamaya Ayurveda University Bill should not be passed.

Before the bill was passed, Devkota said that there were many universities in Nepal, adding that the state government could set up a university and the state government was preparing to run a university.

The Yogamaya Ayurveda University Bill was registered in the National Assembly Secretariat on 20 January 2020. A similar statistic bill was registered in the National Assembly Secretariat on 11 March 2020.
