CAN calls 19 players for the closed training of the triangular series

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 4 – Nineteen players will take part in closed training for the triangular one-day series between Oman and the United States under the Cricket World Cup. The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) on Wednesday called for 19 players for closed training from Thursday.

Gyanendra Malla, Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Bhurtel, Aarif Sheikh, Aasif Sheikh, Gulshan Jha, Kushal Malla, Binod Bhandari, Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sompal Kami, Kamal Singh Airee, Abinash Bohara, Shahab Alam, Shushan Bhari, Sharad Bheswakar, Bikram Sob, Pawan Sharraf and Rohit Kumar Poudyel have been called. Paras Khadka, who announced his retirement from international cricket on Tuesday, will not participate in the training, CAN said.

Head coach Dav Whatmore has arrived in Nepal for training.

Nepal is in the sixth position of the league. Nepal has added 4 points after playing 4 games against Oman and the USA. Oman tops the list with 16 points from 10 games, followed by the United States with 12 points from 12 games.
