Agreement between the MOHP and BP Koirala

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 4 – Representatives of the Ministry of Health and Population and BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan Purification Campaign 2078, Joint Struggle Committee have reached a six-point agreement. With this agreement, the agitating parties have postponed the programs of the movement.

An agreement was reached between the ministry representatives and the campaign representatives on Wednesday. On behalf of the government team, members including Dr Krishna Prasad Poudel, Man Bahadur Basnet and Devraj Bhandari have signed the agreement. Similarly, coordinator Dr SP Rimal, co-coordinator Dr Bishnu Pokharel and 12 members have signed on behalf of the struggle committee.

It is mentioned in the agreement that the process will start from today to remove 4 office bearers including the Vice-Chancellor of the Foundation Dr Gyanendra Giri as demanded by the campaign. The second point of the MoU states, “As mentioned in Article 11D of the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences Act, 2049 BS, the process mentioned in the provision of removal of four office bearers will start from today.”
