Meeting of Central Members convened by Madhav Nepal

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 4 – CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has called a meeting of the central committee. Nepal convened the meeting amid pressure to join hands with Chairman KP Sharma Oli to save party unity.

A meeting will be held at Kwality Banquet in Buddhanagar at 11 am to decide on party unity and government. Lately, most of the members of the standing committee are in favor of party unity. Even the standing committee members of the Nepal group in the task force said that they should stay in the UML in any case, but the Nepali leader said that he wanted to hold discussions with the central members.

A 10-member task force formed to resolve the dispute within the party had tried to hold a discussion between Chairman Oli and Nepal on Tuesday. However, the leaders say that they have tried to make some decisions by holding a meeting of the Central Committee today.
