Support to the Journalist Treatment Fund, target of raising Rs. 10 million to the fund

JHAPA: AUGUST 4 – Ranjit Pariyar, a working committee member of the Jhapa branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, has donated Rs 11,111 to the Journalist Treatment Fund on his birthday. Pariyar handed over the amount to FNCCI Jhapa President Ekraj Giri for the treatment fund set up by the FNCCI Jhapa branch.

Pariyar, a resident of Arjundhara-11, Jhapa, has been in journalism for a decade and a half. The treatment fund set up by the FNJ Jhapa branch is targeted to reach Rs. 10 million. The interest of the fund has been used to provide medical assistance to journalists who are sick and injured in accidents. Giri said that Rs 4.5 million has been deposited in the fund so far.
