Police provides security to eyewitnesses of Darchula incident
DARCHULA: AUGUST 3 – Eyewitnesses of the Tuin incident at Malghat of Darchula’s Byans Rural Municipality-2 have been called to the district headquarters Khalanga on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Kalyan Singh Dhami, Bikram Rankoli and Anita Dhami.
Manohar Bhatta, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Darchula, said that they were called to the district headquarters for questioning after a team of the investigation committee of Home Ministry Joint Secretary Janardan Gautam arrived in Darchula. He said that it was up to the investigation team to decide whether to interrogate the eyewitnesses on Tuesday (today). “We don’t know,” he said.
All three eyewitnesses are being protected by police. The three eyewitnesses were inside the District Police Office on Monday night. It is said that the police interrogated them.

Dhiran Singh Budhathoki, Ward Chairman of Byans Rural Municipality-2 and Upendra Singh Dhami, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 3 had brought them out of District Police Office under their guidance. Police have been deployed along with them for security even though arrangements have been made for them to stay outside the hotel. They are still staying at the hotel.
