Eyewitness to give statement today about Jaisingh falling in Mahakali
DARCHULA: AUGUST 2 – Jaisingh Dhami, 33, of Malghat in Darchula’s Byans Rural Municipality Ward No. 2 went missing after falling into the Mahakali River. Last Friday, he was crossing the Mahakali River to reach Khalanga, the district headquarters, via India.
He was preparing to go to Khalanga from Nepal via India. But he fell into the river without being able to set foot on Indian soil. Locals claim that the Indian Security Forces (SSB) pulled the rope and Dhami had gone missing after falling into the River. The local administration has said there is no official confirmation. There is a widespread protest against the incident.
Most of them are shouting that the Jaisingh fell into the river when the SSB pulled the Tuin and action should be taken against the Indian SSB. Protests are also taking place demanding action against SSB. The complaint has been registered in the Indian police station.
