UCPN (M) Standing Committee meeting to decide the minister

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 2 – A meeting of the standing committee of the ruling CPN-Maoist is to be held. The meeting was called at 3 pm at the party office, Parisdanda.

The meeting will decide on the minister to be sent to the Maoist central government. After Sunday’s standing committee meeting, spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that today’s meeting would finalize the name of the minister and the government would complete it in a day or two. Today’s meeting will focus on choosing a minister to join the government on behalf of the party.

In Sunday’s meeting, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had briefed that there was no possibility of Madhav Kumar Nepal’s side joining the government immediately. Therefore, the UCPN (M) has now reached the center in favor of completing the government by dividing the ministry.
