Nobel begins two-month training for skilled midwives for nursing staff in Morang and Sunsari
BIRATNAGAR: AUGUST 1 – The training of skilled midwives has started from Saturday for the nursing staff working in various health institutions of Morang and Sunsari in Nobel Teaching Hospital. The Health Training Center in Dhankuta, under the management of Nobel Hospital, has organized a two-month training for the nursing staff.
Twelve nursing staff working in different health centers in Morang and Sunsari are participating in the training. Shanti Tandon, Sakuntala Sitaula, Gita Koirala and Indira Gautam, who have long experience in obstetrics, will teach them theoretical and practical skills to enhance their skills. They will be provided with 20 days of theoretical training and the remaining 40 days of delivery.
Dr Suresh Kumar Mehta, Head, District Health Office, Morang, Rohit Kumar Pandey, Director, Health Training Center, Dr Rajesh Nepal, Director, Nobel Hospital, Dr Ramhari Ghimire, Principal, Rudra Prasad Sharma, General Manager, Metron Kalpana Pokhrel, Nilam Jha, Director, Nursing and Santosh Ghimire, program manager of Karuna Foundation, stressed that such training would help reduce maternal mortality. He also suggested the participants learn as many skills as possible from the training and put them into practice.
