Nepal-Poudel meeting in Koteshwor
KATHMANDU: JULY 30 – Leader Bishnu Poudel has reached Koteshwor to meet UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal. Leader Poudel has reached Koteshwar for the purpose of meeting party president KP Sharma Oli. A UML leader told Makalukhbar, “They are meeting now.” Earlier on Thursday, UML parliamentary party deputy leader Subash Chandra Nemwang had also met the leader. During the meeting, Nemwang called on Chairman Oli to hold talks. In response, the Nepali leader said, “I am positive.”
Leader Nepal does not agree with the 10 points of the task force. Nepal has an unconditional return to the status quo. In the report prepared by the task force, it is said that it will return in May, but it is mentioned that the decision of 16 May and March 12 should be followed. Leader Nepal has been expressing dissatisfaction over the issue.
Earlier, after giving a vote of confidence to Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairman Oli asked for a 24-hour explanation and immediately announced a general amnesty. Twenty-two lawmakers, including leader Nepal, had given a vote of confidence to Deuba.
After this, the Nepali leader does not want to meet Chairman Oli. Leader Nepal had agitated against the dissolution of the House of Representatives when Chairman Oli was the Prime Minister. After that, Nepal, a leader who is moving forward politically through parallel, has been saying that Oli should resign from the post.
