Meeting of the House of Representatives today
KATHMANDU: JULY 30 – The meeting of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament is being held today. The meeting has been called for 1 pm.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is likely to present the annual report of the government as per Article 53 of the Constitution of Nepal and Article 41 of the Good Governance (Management and Operation) Act, 2064 BS in today’s meeting.
In the previous meeting, important issues have not entered the parliament except for the MPs speaking in zero time and special time, submitting reports of parliamentary committees and constitutional bodies and passing condolence motions. Speaker Agni Sapkota and Home Minister Bal Krishna Khan had a meeting on Thursday to give impetus to the parliament.
This is the fourth sitting of the parliament that has been revived by the Supreme Court after the second dissolution. The meeting held on July 18 was also held on July 23 and 27. In the first meeting, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had taken a vote of confidence.
