One died, five injured when government Scorpio falls into ditch
JANAKPUR: JULY 30 – One person has died in an uncontrolled road accident in Dhanusha. Five others were injured when a government number Scorpio pickup plate crashed on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Deepak Yadav of Bhangha Municipality-9, Mahottari, said Tilak Sunar, Inspector at the Area Police Office, Mahendranagar. According to him, Yadav succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the State Hospital, Janakpur. Five of the injured are undergoing treatment at the same hospital. Their name has not been released yet, police said.
The scorpion fell into a ditch dug for the construction of a bridge on the highway at Sapahi in Laxminiya village under the Janakpur-Dhalkebar road section at around 5 am in morning. The incident took place when the government number plate (J 2002-0001 Kha 0035) heading towards Janakpur from Dhalkebar fell into a ditch under construction without going through the diversion. Inspector Sunar said that further investigation is underway into the incident.
