Sinti waterfall lures more domestic tourists
CHITWAN: JULY 30 – Sinti waterfall located at Kalika Municipality-9 Chitwan district has received more domestic tourists in recent days.
Chairman of ward no. 9 of the municipality, Hem Bahadur Chhetri, said that increased publicity drive resulted in an inflow of more visitors from within the district and other neighbouring districts too.
The waterfall has received more visitors from Makawanpur and Tanahun districts. The visitors can reach the site after a two and a half kilometres walk from Dogara of Shaktikhor-Siddhi road section of Kalika.
The number of local visitors has increased as the coronavirus pandemic restricted human mobility for long tours and trips.
Tourism entrepreneurs said that Sinti waterfall could be a promising destination for external tourists visiting Sauraha, thanks to its pristine location and natural beauties. “Tourists visiting Sauraha can also be taken to Sinti waterfall but there should be a good provision of garden, hotel, drinking water supply and sanitation,” Bijaya Lama, a tourism entrepreneur from Sauraha said.
Likewise, Kalika Municipality’s information officer Achyutraj Regmi said that they were preparing for the development of a master plan and more publicity campaigns and other physical infrastructures aimed at inviting more tourists to Sinti.
