Mega Bank transfers Rs. 7 lakh to those who lost their lives in the accident

KATHMANDU: JULY 29 – Mega Bank Nepal Limited has provided Rs. 700,000 to the families of the customers who died in the accident.

Mega Bank has handed over Rs. 7 lakh to the family of Himalaya Gurung who opened a ‘Mega Corporate Benefit Savings Account’ in Mega Bank.

The manager of Mega Bank Itahari Branch Shikander Thapa handed over the insurance money to late Himalaya’s wife Mamita Gurung. Gurung, who had a permanent home in Sankhuwasabha, died in an accident at Balaju in Kathmandu on 16 November 2020.

The bank has provided accident insurance of Rs 700,000 to each account holder in the ‘Mega Corporate Benefit Savings Account’ which can be opened with a minimum balance of Rs 1,000.

The chief information officer of the bank informed that the bank has brought this scheme to the customers to help them and their families from such incidents.
