Demonstration against the mayor walking around getting vaccinated at midnight [Photos]

BIRATNAGAR: JULY 29 – Demonstration has taken place in Biratnagar against the Mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan City Bhim Parajuli. Protests in front of the Biratnagar Metropolitan Office have raised slogans against the mayor.

Various activists and groups have protested, accusing Mayor Parajuli of distributing vaccines with money in the setting. Demonstrations were held in front of the office from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. While the people were waiting for the vaccination, the youths surrounded the main gate and staged a demonstration chanting slogans such as “the mayor is in the vaccination setting, the mayor has vaccinated only those who have notes”.

Mayor Parajuli reached the house of Bimal Rajbhandari, president of the Congress Booth Committee in Biratnagar-5 at around 9 pm on Wednesday and vaccinated the leaders and cadres close to him. A large crowd had gathered at night when the mayor secretly started vaccinating leaders and activists close to him.

The youth social organization management group, Bargachhi youth group, YCL and others jointly staged the demonstration.

The enraged locals assaulted a person who came with Mayor Parajuli and chased him away. After the protest of the locals, Mayor Parajuli ran away in the car of Congress Municipal Vice President Praveen Joshi. After the mayor started distributing vaccines in the middle of the night, the youths protested against it. The YCL has also stated that the mayor’s activities are not citizen-friendly.
