Resham Chaudhary to the Upendra group
KATHMANDU: JULY 28 – People’s Socialist Party, Nepal’s suspended MP Resham Chaudhary has joined the Upendra Yadav group. Chaudhary is still in the official party and is a central executive member, said JSP spokesperson Dambar Khatiwada. Khatiwada said on Twitter, “I would like to make it clear that Hon’ble Resham Chaudhary has expressed his desire through phone conversation and the approval of the People’s Socialist Party meeting held at Tulsilal Smriti Bhawan.
The Election Commission had given the official status of the People’s Socialist Party to Upendra Yadav’s group on July 26. Chaudhary, who arrived at the commission on the same day, said he was neutral. The commission had 34 members out of 51 members in favour of Yadav.
