Young man beaten to death, two friends arrested
JANAKPUR: JULY 28 – A young man has been killed in Dhanusha. Govinda Yadav, 25, of Gothkuha in Shahid Nagar Municipality-3 has been beaten to death, according to police.
Yadav was found critically injured in a roadside creek near his house at around 7 am on Tuesday. According to Dhanusha Deputy Superintendent of Police Makendra Mishra, he died in Biratnagar while undergoing treatment. Govinda, who was found unconscious with serious injuries, was immediately rescued and rushed to Janakpur Provincial Hospital for treatment.
He sustained serious head and mouth injuries and was referred to Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital for further treatment. DSP Mishra informed that Govinda died on Tuesday afternoon while undergoing treatment.
Police have arrested two of his friends on suspicion of being involved in the beating. Locals said that an unidentified group may have beaten him to death on Monday night and fled by throwing him in the bush. Relatives have claimed that Govinda was killed. Police said that the incident was being investigated.
