Tokyo Olympics: Gaurika competes today
KATHMANDU: JULY 28 – Gaurika Singh of Nepal is competing in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics in Japan today. Gaurika will compete in the women’s 100-meter freestyle. Gaurika’s game will start at 3:45 pm Nepali time.
Gaurika is in Heat 1 in the competition to be held at Tokyo Aquatic Center. Four players will compete in this Heat 1. Gaurika’s heat includes players from Nigeria, Montenegro and Guam.
Gaurika, who has made a sensational performance in the 13th Saga, is confident of crossing the 1st heat. Gaurika holds the national record in this competition. She said that two Nepali athletes are participating in the Tokyo Olympics after swimming.
Alex has already competed on Tuesday. Alex set a national record in the men’s 100m freestyle. In Heat 1, Alex set a national record with a time of 53.41 seconds. However, Alex was out of the Heat 1.
