Protests over Baburam’s remarks [Photos]

KATHMANDU: JULY 27 – The Bir Gorkhali Campaign has protested against the statement made by Baburam Bhattarai, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Federal Council of the People’s Socialist Party, saying that Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, had offered milk to the Ganges.

Bir Gorkhali has staged a protest demanding action against former Prime Minister Bhattarai as he has made indiscriminate remarks on the picture of Yogi Adityanath offering milk in the Ganges.

‘We strongly condemn the heroic Gorkhali campaign of many worlds and has ignited friendly relations. “We are of the view that the views expressed by former PM Baburam Bhattarai are reprehensible, indecent and for the sake of political health, they can only be the product of a malicious and disoriented mentality affecting the neighbourly relations,” said a statement issued by Bir Gorkhali.

Bir Gorkhali has demanded immediate action against Bhattarai saying that his remarks would disrupt relations with India.

The demonstration ended at Maitighar from Dhumbarahi via Hadigaun and Dhobikhola.
